Our Nurse Practitioner Kathy, and Dr Thu-Huyen Trinh are both MS2STEP accredited, which means that we are able to provide Medical Terminations of Pregnancy, or Abortions.
This process involves:
- Counselling to ensure that medical termination is safe, appropriate and the right option for you
- Confirming how far along the pregnancy is with an ultrasound
- A blood test
- Education about what to expect once the medication has been taken, including when emergency care is required
- A follow up appointment 1-2 weeks later to ensure the process has been completed, including another blood test
